Jet Ski Powersports

So you love your jet ski and you want to race. Or you're an enthusiast who loves jet ski powersports. What to do? Never fear, there are many opportunities for you to participate in great events. Just load up your jet ski trailer and start competing!

The International Jet Sports Boating Association provides many opportunities for both amateurs and pros. You can get started in local jet ski powersports events. You will want to consult the ISJBA Competition Rulebook to find out what rules need to be followed and what you have to do to enter one of the local events.

Once you have some experience under your belt, you might want to try and compete in the National Championships. From there you can participate in the World Finals which are held in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

There are numerous events types including:

Closed Course - Several racers go around multiple laps completing approximately 1/2 mile.
Drag Racing - Generally racers go head-to-head over a course that is approximately 1/8 mile long.
Endurance/Offshore - Competitors race over long distances.
Freestyle - Competitors ride for two minutes showing off their complicated and creative tricks and maneuvers.
Slalom - Each competitor has to make zig-zag left and right turns around markers.
Indoor and Special Events
